On Wednesdays we choose some exciting wines from our cellar and Chef Bryan designs the evening's menu around them.  Three courses are paired, generally with wines that we typically do not carry by the glass, to give guests the opportunity to sample some really special varietals.

Soup:  Stonecipher Farm Potato Leek Bisque, Chive Foam, Smoky Bacon, Balsamic Reduction

Appetizer:  Pan Seared Saku Tuna, Tempura Oyster Mushrooms, Citrus Sesame Glaze, Spring Ledge Farm Demi Salad


Entremezzo:  Organic Candied Cranberry, Citrus Mint Zest

Entrée:  Pan Seared Filet Mignon, Red Wine Foie Gras Sauce, White Truffle Aioli, Micro Greens  ~Or~  Black Trumpet Fettuccine, Grilled Tiger Shrimp, Brandy Herb Cream Sauce, Sweet Pea Puree

Cooking Series with Chef Bryan Continues! January 26, 2017 3:00 PM

Starting January 12 and continuing every other week for 6 sessions, share the kitchen with Chef Leary and learn the techniques that make our dinners at the Inn at Pleasant Lake so special.  Come for one class or all 6 – it is up to you.  Stay for our Thursday dinner – Family Style at a reduced price!

January 12:  Focus on Soups & Bisques and learn to make garnishes, while we sharpen our knife skills and learn basic techniques.

January 26:  The key to scrumptious hors d’oeuvres.  Find new creativity in preparing appetizers by blending and balancing flavors.

February 9:  Stimulating the palate - Make their mouths water with amuse-bouche. Fall and winter salads with three seasonal dressings. Perfecting presentation and balance.

February 23:  Don't be afraid of cooking seafood! You can prepare the perfect seafood entrée.  And know what sides and wines pair.

March 9:  Preparing proteins - sauces, marinades, and side dishes.  How to easily pair wines with any dish!

March 23:  Easy quick gourmet desserts. Working with chocolates. Liven up your affair with special dinner drinks.  It’s not just wine anymore.

Each class is $100, take all six for $500.  Stay for dinner Thursday night for $40.  Must book in advance.  Call the inn for details.  Classes are limited to 8 people.

Jack Frost Dinner on the New London Town Green February 17, 2016, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

A taste of New London and beyond! This outdoor dinner takes place on the town green with area restaurants offering different courses to a meal. Tiki torches and campfires will keep us warm. Fun for the whole family!  The Inn at Pleasant Lake will once again be participating!
