Caleb’s Covered Bridge Caper is a photo contest that follows the Inn at Pleasant Lake Covered Bridge Tour route. The challenge is to help Caleb find Mamma Turtle and his siblings. He believes that they have gone on holiday to visit their friends that reside alongside the rivers spanned by some of central New Hampshire’s most interesting covered bridges. Participants can help Caleb by documenting his search and taking his picture in the most creative and interesting ways possible at each of the destination sites along the tour.
The contest runs through October 31 with winners announced the first week of November. Participants enter the contest for a fee of $15.00, which includes the Covered Bridge Tour guide booklet describing the route and the bridges and Caleb the turtle (a hand made stuffed turtle provided by Marcy Schepker of Pear Tree Studios). Participants must register on the Inn’s Facebook page and are not required to purchase the Self-Guided Covered Bridge Tour Package to participate. A picnic lunch for two consisting of sandwiches, snacks, drinks in a souvenir cooler tote is also available for $50.00.
Photo entries will be submitted via the Inn’s Facebook page and the Inn will have full usage rights of all submitted photos from guests’ New England fall foliage driving tours. There will be three prizes awarded, a winner and two runners up.
1st Place prize (provided by event sponsor, Artisans): gift certificate valued at $100 at Artisans.
Runner up prizes: Inn at Pleasant Lake T-shirts.
Note: Participants are also welcome to enter this contest in ‘Do it Yourself’ mode, where no entrance fee is required. We would be happy to email the route for your participation. The picnic package, tour booklet and turtle are not included with this option.
