We have not traditionally placed much weight in trophies. Sure, when our daughter won a karate trophy that was taller than she was, we were very proud of her. But there’s no shrine in our home to dwell on such things, unless you consider the attic storage area over the garage a place of worship. We don’t. However, when the recognition is a direct reflection of how our guests feel about their experience with us, that has much more meaning, and can be helpful to future guests in their search to find that ideal location for their vacation, dining experience or travel needs. With that in mind, we wanted to offer a sincere thank you to our loyal guests for their feedback and the accolades that have resulted from the independent industry rating groups that track the hospitality industry. We thought a brief update on our status might be helpful.
Most recently, we’re pleased to announce that the Inn at Pleasant Lake received the 2016 Recognition of Excellence from
Hotelcombined.com. This global award is in recognition for consistently achieving the highest standards of Customer Satisfaction worldwide. HotelsCombined analyzed online customer opinions for over one million hotels worldwide. Our score was an incredible 9.6 out of a possible 10, and we now represent the top 3% of accommodations worldwide for Customer Satisfaction.
We’ve also earned
Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence for the third year running for both the Inn and the Restaurant. Our guests have currently provided 118 excellent reviews for the Restaurant (out of 128 total reviews, or 92% excellent ratings). Similarly, the Inn has received 127 excellent reviews from our guests. It is very motivating to reflect that in January we had just passed the 100 review mark for both the restaurant and the Inn and now there are 278 reviews combined!
In January we were invited to join the
Select Registry membership. To be admitted, members must pass an in-depth blind inspection over the course of an anonymous guest’s stay. The quality inspection covered every element of our service, hospitality, restaurant and property. We can now say that we are truly among the best in our industry as independently validated.
We are also growing our ratings on
Bedandbreakfast.com, and while we currently only have five ratings there, they are all 5-star! You may recall that earlier in the year, we also made it to the sweet 16 for the best breakfast in America contest. Thanks again for all your votes during that activity. It was great fun!
