Winterfest is coming! On Saturday March 2nd, we will be opening our doors once again for one of our favorite New Hampshire winter festivals. We like to bring our community together around the long honored traditions of good food, good fun and good friends. Winterfest is great cure for that ever building case of cabin fever that sometimes accompanies the winter season.
Come see the Inn! Take a tour with Jen or Scott. Afterwards, enjoy the Winter Farmers Market and taste local beer and wine. Chef Leary will be presenting a cooking demonstration as well as hosting the Oak & Grain Chopped Competition. Know any amateur chefs? Send them our way! Watch as they go head to head with local professional chefs in our very own version of Chopped. Come and judge the chili and soup cook off, or enter it! If competition is what you’re looking for, some winter games. After the activities have settled down, why not join us at Oak & Grain for an inspired dinner where Chef Leary will collaborate with our Chopped winner! We’ll be serving a fixed three course menu with shared sides starting at 5:30 PM. Savor the day with food, festivities, and warm company! (Reservations please.)

With each event that we sponsor, we keep the concept of community close to our hearts. We have partnered with the New Hampshire Food Bank again for this event. In 2017 the New Hampshire Food Bank distributed 13.7 million pounds of food, and has a tremendous impact on our community.
The Food Bank offers many worthwhile programs including:
- Teaching families at risk of hunger to make healthy, affordable meals
- Producing fresh vegetables for their programs
- Recovering fresh food from local groceries that would otherwise be thrown out
- Working with local farmers’ markets to increase access to locally grown foods
- Training a new generation of food professional.
