Art is vital. It’s something that’s relevant in day to day life. We also believe that community is extremely important. At Artfest we like to bring our community together to support not only local artists but also good causes that benefit the community that we cherish.

This year we’re working with Road to Independence. Through their program options, individuals with developmental disabilities learn, practice and master life skills that build self-confidence and self-esteem. They see their vocational training program as a starting point on the road to independence and a productive life within the community.

Saturday, September 1st 11:00am to 3:00pm

We’re inviting you to come and enjoy a day of art, food, drink, and local fun. We’ll be welcoming artists to our Art Market which you’ll be able to stroll through. Marilyn Wendling, a local painter, will be painting en plein aire (French for “the act of painting outdoors”) on our grounds.  Grab a glass of wine and an hors d’oeuvre from Oak & Grain and enjoy the day.

Have you ever been interested in learning the art of the blacksmith? Our friend Jay of J.A Metalcraft will be demonstrating his skill throughout the day. Tour our micro-gallery currently blessing our dining room, with work from Anna Wickstrom Photography.

We’re also hosting a silent auction to benefit Road to Independence. With other local businesses and plenty of local artists, Artfest should be a day to remember.
