Whether you are a studied sommelier, a collector with your own wine cellar, or someone who simply enjoys a glass of their favorite wine with dinner, there’s no doubt the world of wine is a fascinating one to explore.  At Oak & Grain, the Inn at Pleasant Lake’s farm-to-table restaurant, we share our unique perspective with the explorers of this world.  We are curious to discover the roots of our food and wine, striving to understand what makes it special, and how it stands out from the myriad of choices people have these days.  We love our history and believe that knowing the context of origins provides not only authenticity, but insights into how best to enjoy the flavors we experience.

The same is true of our approach to wine.  Each month our team gathers to scour our wine list looking for any gaps in the continuity of our offerings.  We taste and learn about new wines in depth, their origins, and what produces their unique flavors.  When a wine is selected, we then invite our guests enjoy these flavors by making them more accessible, offering opportunities to try new wines through pairings, by-the-glass specials, and featured wines of the week.

Wine-Themed Getaway Package

Our Wine and Dine Package offers a unique farm-to-table experience focused on wine.  From tastings and tours at local New England vineyards, to enjoying our weekly featured wine with artisan cheeses in the comfort of your elegant room, to exploring our Chef’s Suggested Wine Pairings with your 5-course gourmet dining experience, we don’t just look at what makes a certain wine special, we consider how best to savor it.

Wine Pairings at Oak & Grain

We offer Chef Suggested Wine Pairings to complement dinner on any night. Three courses are paired, generally with wines that we typically do not carry by-the-glass, to give guests the opportunity to sample some special varietals.

Wednesday is Wine Night!

Weekly Featured Wine – each Wednesday, a select wine from our wine cellar will be featured for the evening to provide guests with the opportunity to learn more in depth about a new wine.
