Room 9 is known as one of our most spacious rooms.  Back in the day, it was actually two, much smaller rooms.  This is why there is no room #8 available anymore!  The largest of our Junior Suites, it has historically been one of our most popular.  Room 9 has a spacious bedroom with king sized bed and its own spacious sitting area with electric fireplace.  The additional living-room-like main sitting area has a modern pull-out sofa, personal fridge and Keurig coffee maker.  The tiled bath includes a whirlpool tub and shower combination.  With such amenities, Room 9 is a favorite of guests from brides to business travelers to families. And the views from this room cover North, South, and East – yes, including the lake and mountain as well as the woodlands.

The design team worked very hard on their selections for Room 9.  While the sage green theme was lovely in it’s day, we wanted a more luxurious and soothing feel.  The subtle grey with blue hues accomplished this goal wonderfully.  New carpeting, fresh paint, added trim-work with crown moldings, new window treatments and high-end blinds all deliver on the theme of soothing relaxation. What a great environment for an in-room message treatment!

Structurally, the closet/bathroom area was reconfigured for greater functionality and ease of use.  The floor in the closet was tiled and the space changed for a more practical use.  Lighting was added to the closet as well as overhead lights for the main sitting area – with dimmer switching to create that perfect ambiance.  Additional electrical outlets were added for all your charging needs.

One of our favorite features of Room 9 now is how the bedroom sitting area works with the new fireplace.  You can sit by the fire after your whirlpool tub experience and gaze out the window at Pleasant Lake and Mt. Kearsarge, while enjoying your in-room bottle of wine and artisan cheese tray.  Our goal was to create a room for our guests to feel pampered and at home.  Welcome home to the new Room 9!

As with most projects at the Inn, this was a great team effort!  I’d like to especially thank Lori for all her design expertise and talents in selecting the stunning colors.  Also, a special shout out to my brother Jeff, without whom this project would have been way behind schedule!!!
